Relational Small Group

Dr. Dalton Jenkins

As we enter this New Year 2025, we are truly grateful to God for His grace and Mercy. 2024, with all the eb-and-flow of life, is now behind us, and we are thankful to God for His protection and provision.

We are launching our VISION2030 this year. Our focus is on discipleship, with an emphasis on evangelism and disciple-making.

As we enter the new year, we are reminded of the powerful story of David and Goliath. This timeless story isn't just about a young shepherd boy facing a giant; it's a call to action for each of us. The central question echoes through time: 'Is there not a cause?' This isn't merely about physical battles but about standing up for God's name and spreading the gospel.

Just as David was moved to action when he heard Goliath's insults, we are called to be stirred by the spiritual needs around us. The message challenges us to leave our comfort zones and ask ourselves: What cause are we willing to fight for? What giants in our lives and society need to confront? As we reflect on this, we're encouraged to embrace the same courage and faith that David displayed, knowing that God goes before us in every battle we face.

Our response to this challenge for 2025 is, “I Am Here; Is There Not A Cause?” In other words, I am available because I have a mission to accomplish. Our Convention theme states that I am “Fully Surrendered, Fully Committed,” as was David in 1 Samuel 17:29.

Relational Small Groups (RSG)

Our focus this year is on Discipleship, embracing Matthew 28:19-20 commissioning. The Making of a Disciple begins with the proclamation of the Gospel message. Evangelism is the process of bringing the gospel message to everyone. Once conversion occurs, it is time to teach the new convert to become a disciple. This disciple must get involved in the church’s life through fellowship and service.

With this in mind, we are launching small groups to develop relationships focusing on the Gospel. Our purpose is to create Intentional relational networks in our church community and encourage each other to embrace the call of discipleship as friends on the Mission.
